The Shamrock Club of Sacramento, was founded in 2005, as a nonprofit organization formed to preserve Irish culture and historical traditions, in the Sacramento Region. The club is a non-denominational, non-political social club, open to all those who wish to connect with their Irish Heritage or just want to learn more about the Irish culture and we are on Facebook (ShamrockClubofSacramento), Twitter (ShamrockClub) and our website (www.Shamrocksac.com).
Our Irish-American cultural society hosts/co-hosts many annual events, including the St. Patrick’s Parade in March, the Half-Way to St. Patrick’s celebration in September, and a Christmas Celebration in December. We partner with other Celtic clubs in the area for many other social activities.
The business of the Shamrock Club is conducted by an elected Board of Directors. Meetings of the Shamrock Club are held the second Wednesday of each month. at 7 PM. Membership and Board meetings are open to anyone interested in our club and our activities, whether they are Irish or not. (Details at News and Info or Celtic Calendar)
I wish to thank the founding members of the club for their vision in establishing this club and their continued participation and guidance as the club moves forward and continues to grow.
