Masha started playing Irish tinwhistle, clawhammer banjo, & calling dances while in college. She lived in Ireland & England for over a decade, leading dances & performing at festivals, clubs, & pubs. Geff has been playing fiddle for over 50 years, plus guitar, concertina, banjo, & more. Living for a time in England, he became friends with Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, and was a guest host at their renowned London Singers Club.
Together, Old Soles explore the intertwined roots of fiddle tunes from both sides of the pond, adding a bit of irreverent humor to their harmonies, & sharing the fun of *playing* music!
