Local musicians Ryan Light (Uilleann Pipes) and Malcolm Flint (Guitar) first met at the Fox and Goose session in Sacramento. United by an obsession with Irish Traditional Music, the pair began playing together shortly after that. Their music has been developing through living room sessions, busking at the farmer’s market, some local shows, and countless conversations about the nuances of the music.
As a duo, Ryan and Malcolm play high-energy, driving dance music that is grounded in reverence for the tradition. If you have the chance to hear them play live, you will almost certainly end up tapping your foot as you get swept up in the sound of the pipes and the rhythm of the guitar.
